Cookies Policy.
This explains the cookies PrimusBids uses: the strictly necessary ones that keep the Platform working, and the optional marketing cookies you can accept or decline in the cookie banner.
1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They let a site recognize your browser between requests — for example, to keep you signed in.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These keep the Platform working and are always on — there is nothing to consent to for these.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
authjs.session-token / __Secure-authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in after you authenticate with Google or an email sign-in link. | Session / until sign-out |
primusbids_role | Remembers your signed role (e.g. admin, employer, team member, provider) so the correct workspace loads. | Session |
pb-consent | Remembers whether you accepted or declined the marketing cookies described below, so we don't ask again on every visit. | 180 days |
3. Marketing cookies (optional)
With your consent, given through the cookie banner shown on your first visit, PrimusBids uses the following to understand which channels bring visitors to the site and to measure how well our marketing is working. These only load after you accept — declining, or not choosing, keeps them off.
| Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Meta Pixel & Conversions API (Facebook/Instagram) | Measures the effectiveness of our Meta advertising by recording page views and key actions (e.g. sending an enquiry, booking an audit). The Conversions API sends a matching copy of the same events directly from our server. | Up to 90 days |
| Google tags (Tag Manager, Analytics/Ads) | Measures site usage and the effectiveness of our Google advertising in the same way. | Up to 13 months |
You can withdraw consent at any time by clearing the pb-consent cookie in your browser settings, which brings the banner back on your next visit.
4. Cookies set by third parties
When you sign in with Google, or when a payment is processed by Flutterwave, those providers may set their own cookies on their own domains as part of that sign-in or payment flow, regardless of your marketing-cookie choice above. Those cookies are governed by Google's and Flutterwave's own privacy and cookie policies, not this one.
5. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies above will sign you out or prevent sign-in; blocking or declining the marketing cookies has no effect on using the Platform.
6. Changes to this policy
If the cookies we use change, we will update this page. The "Effective" date at the top reflects our most recent update.
