Kontrakten vedrører naturpleje af kommunale naturarealer ved afgræsning, helårsgræsning, slåning og særlig naturpleje medmobile dyrehold. Kontrakten omfatter samtidig en integreret social, uddannelsesmæssig og beskæftigelsesrettet indsats rettetmod borgere med begrænset tilknytning til arbejdsmarkedet eller uddannelsessystemet. Den sociale indsats udgør en væsentligdel af den eksisterende opgaveløsning og videreføres som led i kontrakten
